The Winter Turning
A Winter Solstice Day of Stillness, Reflection & Light
SUN 20th Dec 11am - 4pm | Blackwater Valley, Co. Cork
Time to turn toward the Light
At the darkest point of the year, the Winter Solstice invites us to pause, soften and listen more closely. The Winter Turning is a deeply restorative day created to offer space away from the noise and busyness of December, a chance to reconnect with yourself, honour the season and gently turn toward the returning light. Together we will share a warming Cacao Ceremony, a Light Returning Ritual, create a simple Winter Solstice talisman from natural materials, experience a Guided Drumming Meditation, explore the seven chakras through gentle activation and Bio-Energy Healing, and close with a reflective practice centred on what you are ready to nurture as a new season begins.
A day of warmth, stillness, creativity and connection, designed to leave you feeling grounded, restored and more connected to what matters, as the light begins to return.

Cacao Ceremony
We’ll begin the day by gathering together over a warm cup of cacao, creating a gentle transition from the outside world into the quieter pace of the retreat. Rather than simply having a drink, the cacao becomes part of an intentional pause — a chance to arrive fully, settle into the space, connect with the group and quietly consider what you would like from the day. The ceremony will be simple, grounding and inclusive, with no need for any previous experience or particular beliefs.
Solstice Talisman
Using simple natural materials gathered from the season, you’ll be invited to create a small personal talisman to take home with you. The focus won’t be on artistic skill or getting anything “right”, but on choosing elements that feel meaningful to you and creating something that reflects the spirit of the day. It will be a quiet, tactile practice — a chance to slow down, work with your hands and create a simple reminder of what you would like to carry with you as the season begins to turn.
Chakra’s & Energy
We’ll spend some time exploring the seven main chakras as a simple framework for noticing where we may feel grounded, open, stuck, depleted or in need of a little more attention. Rather than becoming too technical, the focus will be experiential — gently bringing awareness to each energy centre before moving into a deeply relaxing Bio-Energy Healing practice. This part of the day is designed to support stillness, balance and a greater sense of connection with yourself.
More to Experience
Stillness & Reflection
There will also be space throughout the day for quieter practices that invite you to slow down and turn inward. A guided drumming meditation will support deep relaxation and reflection, while gentle prompts later in the day will help you consider what you would like to nurture, welcome or carry forward as the light begins to return. These moments are less about finding answers and more about creating enough stillness to hear what matters to you.
My mission…
Life has asked me to find strength in unexpected places. Becoming a mother at the tender age of 15 taught me resilience, courage, and the importance of trusting my own inner voice. That experience in addition to other challenges along the way shaped who I am today. They gave me a deep knowing: every woman carries an inner warrior, even if she doesn’t always feel it.
This is why I hold space in the way I do. Supporting women to reconnect with their own power is more than my work, it’s my heart. When a woman remembers her strength, she not only transforms her own life, she inspires everyone around her.
